Anne PoulsonAnne Poulson graduated from Oregon State University with a BS in Horticulture and went to work in Los Angeles designing flower gardens. Two kids later, she and her husband, Eric, return to their hometown of Portland, Oregon to be closer to their families. In Portland Anne studied glassblowing at the Museum Art School, primarily to keep warm during the cold, damp Northwest winters. Moving ever northward in search of small town livability and easy access to outdoor recreation, they fell in love with Bellingham, Washington. Inspired by the beauty of the region and motivated by the desire to remain warm while she works, Anne began making jewelry. The rich colors and variety of shapes of the gemstones she works with provide a limitless palette for her work.

Her oil paintings have won awards at the local, state and national level. Her art has found its way into businesses, public buildings and private homes. Currently, MJ is creating collage boxes, painted recycled furniture, oil paintings, and altered art inspired by the natural beauty of the Northwest.
